What is SchoolhouseTeachers.com? A family homeschool membership, in plain terms

What is SchoolhouseTeachers.com?

SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a paid membership website for homeschooling families. The FAQ describes it as a comprehensive, parent-led homeschool curriculum platform for the entire family, with hundreds of courses across all grade levels, planning tools, record keeping and support resources. Its address is schoolhouseteachers.com, so use the .com ending when you type it. Everything here comes from the vendor's pages read on November 6, 2026, and the claims are the vendor's own.

How lessons are delivered

• Printable text first: the is-and-is-not page says most courses use downloadable, printable PDFs, and every course comes with lesson plans.
• Audio and video: many courses add recorded media where it fits the lesson.
• Interactive lessons: the FAQ describes iST, an interactive platform with quizzes, drag-and-drop exercises and instant feedback, where parents can track progress and grades. The vendor calls the selection growing.
• Virtual school boxes: grade-by-grade bundles, from Pre-K to Grade 12, that the home page calls a complete curriculum for each grade.

What a membership includes

• Courses: the join page lists more than 400 courses on the annual plan, with core subjects and electives.
• Records Center: the home page lists letters of intent, education plans for each child, attendance and hours tracking, report cards, portfolios and certificates, plus credit tracking, GPA and transcript help for high school.
• Scope and sequence and planners: pages for planning each year.
• Extras: a free RightNow Media membership and World Book Online access, as listed on the home page.
• Support: help by chat, email or phone, and an online parent community.

What it is not

• Not a school: the FAQ says accreditation applies to schools, not to curriculum providers, and that the service is not accredited. It adds that you stay in control of how courses are used, evaluated and documented.
• Not aligned with Common Core, according to the FAQ.
• Not a live-teacher program: it is parent-led, and the parent is the teacher.
• Not a per-child purchase: one membership covers the immediate family, with several children and grade levels at once.
• Not only a supplement and not only a full curriculum: the FAQ says families use it either way.

Who it is built for

The pages describe a parent who teaches at home and wants a ready set of courses, lesson plans and records in one place. The FAQ says the membership can be a full curriculum or a supplement, and that families can use it with several children across several grades at the same time. Parents who prefer to hand teaching to recorded instructors, or who want a school that issues grades and diplomas, should read the limits in the review before deciding.

Who runs it and its worldview

The vendor's statement of faith page says SchoolhouseTeachers is the curriculum site of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. The FAQ states that the curriculum is Christian and developed from a Biblical worldview, and the vendor publishes a statement of faith. The full discussion sits in the review; the short version is that the content is faith-based and parents control how each course is used.
